Welcome to the land of the free and the home of the brave...

Pfft. If only that were true, but it's not. Unfortunately, just like everything else in America, it's just another long-lost mantra of the past that over time has been spun into a completely different reality that provides the American people with an unusual underlying false sense of security, and who would know better about security than someone who has made their professional career in the security industry for over 30 years. The land of the free and home of the brave was certainly very true and genuine many years ago when initially intended, but these days it's only a saying of words, considering it's part of their National Anthem. Because there is nothing free or brave about the unregulated free-for-all wild west of allowing the common everyday citizen with the ability to walk into any gun store to purchase enough assault weapons to single-handedly take on any small police force.

America, you have lost your way and are now paying for it with innocent human lives.

Where do you eventually draw the line while hiding behind the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution between protecting yourself and stockpiling assault weapons? What's next, a congressional bill that allows every citizen the right to carry rocket launchers because the common-day assault weapons don't have the same effect to protect ourselves? Where does it end? When all citizens are allowed to possess tanks and other military grade weapons in their backyards? It would still never be enough. The moment one billionaire is allowed to purchase plutonium grade nuclear weapons is when it only becomes a matter of time before another billionaire feels the need to protect themselves from such a threat...

How on earth could something like that ever make rational sense to anyone with any common sense? Of course the average American gunowner would shake their head and claim that I'm blowing things way out of proportion, but imagine what the founders of the Constitution would think if they were able to witness the United States of America and what is happening in the present day of the 21st century. They would truly be disgusted with the actions of not only their future citizens, but more importantly their future governing bodies who are responsible for governing all things within it's State borders and overall united boundaries. This is not what they had in mind when they wrote the Constitution.

If you'll take notice, the founders were all on the same page and unified in their decisions with the Constitution because they all knew exactly what it meant to them and their citizens of the times. They did not foresee a time when their Constitution could ever become so twisted, divided and molded between political parties into the ways that have allowed greed to play the number one role in action over principle, and when this happens, it can only lead to one outcome, and that outcome is consequences.

For many years, those consequences have been swept under the rug, and up to the point where the carpet now has a massive bulge of consequences underneath it where a person can easily trip over the bulge just because they chose the want or need to walk across the floor.

Yet, the governing bodies of today still do everything in their power to persuade you into believing that there is nothing hiding underneath the rug, no matter how many times you trip over it. And yet, the common citizen with supposed apparent common sense still votes for these individuals to govern them, simply because they believe it to be true. It's absolutely astonishing to anyone on the outside looking in...there will never be a clear-cut winner of leadership when opposing political parties oppose each other for no other reason than that of assuming their role as the opposition in legislation and government. And when this becomes the case, then there will never become a time when the United States will ever become truly united with one another because all focus is gone and replaced with diversion. The American Government would sooner slap a band-aid on the problem rather than get out the scalpel and perform a little surgery. It's been far too long since they've done their jobs correctly, and it truly shows, yet the American public continues to vote them into office for what they say and not for what they do.

I'll never understand any governing body that wants to control a woman's reproductive system, yet will hold no concern for anyone wanting to purchase enough guns and ammo to become a hazard to themselves or others...many many others. The level of inhumanity is staggering, and all because two separate frameworks of thinking tend to force their own opinions upon the population towards believing and supporting one side of an equation or the other instead of doing the right thing in order to find solutions, regardless if they know it's the wrong thing to do. It's what they get paid to do, and that folks, is truly disturbing. Even more disturbing is the fact that the American population votes them in and pays them to do this, even when they know in their hearts and minds, that it is wrong. It just comes with the territory of a two party system that continues to divide it's citizens with collateral damage from the fallout of their decisions. Consequences.

Unless I own a gun for target practice or for sport, then it is useless to me. And yes, hunting is a sport, unless of course we live in the mountains and shoot to kill for survival, but if that were the case then we probably wouldn't need the gun in the first place because we already know many better ways for trapping our food and killing the larger game animals. But for the suburban housewife to have a gun in her purse for protection seems truly unwise and something that will eventually lead to a mistake, and hopefully not one that is fatal.

All these consequences, this mentality, this American way of life, is the absolute opposite of freedom or bravery, because the freedom or bravery now only belongs to the everyday citizen that is armed to the teeth and ready for anything at the slightest sense of threat to their livelihood. These people are not strong and secure -- they are scared and insecure. Cowardly scared. Scared in the sense that they feel the need to purchase a gun to put in their purse, pocket or closet, for that just in case moment where they feel the need to protect themselves. Does it truly make a person feel free or brave? It's astonishing to me. I've never heard of a more brainwashed population of people in my life, and I do mean that sincerely...I do truly feel bad for my neighbors down South of me. They do not deserve this level of governing.

Because how free or brave does the average American citizen feel after an armed robbery or mass shooting at their local grocery store, public event or school? The only one feeling free or brave is the individual armed to the max ready to take as many lives as possible before his own life is eventually extinguished. This gun fanatic concept is a mental disturbance like no other in the world, caused by far too many overlapping years of mental brainwashing where the idea of bearing arms is still far more important than the idea of being unprotected allows us the ability to go to the grocery store or other local establishment without worry of some crazed lunatic armed to the max ready to kill anyone and everyone in sight, or just the person that felt wronged by another who does not have the self control to not escalate the situation up to the firearms level.

It's beyond cowardly and a true reflection on just how mentally disturbed the majority of the current day 2nd Amendment followers are, especially considering the weaponry at the time of writing the Constitution in comparison to the weaponry of today that is capable of inflicting mass casualties. Do you honestly think the founders of the Constitution would want to see where America is going in today's day and age?

The founders meant for the 2nd Amendment to be as the right to bear arms as a militia, and not as a gesture to the everyday citizen to stuff a gun into their pocket to "protect themselves". The American governmental administrations of the last few generations have dropped the ball on this Amendment and made a truly fatal mistake by being fooled into believing they required an association in order to spread information from coast to coast, allowing this association to form into a corporation, which allowed for further "freedoms" and other spin tactics of gun rights lobbying to congress in order to help receive their billions of dollars in kickbacks from gun manufacturers across America. It is truly sad when the amendment was actually meant to allow the entire American population with the ability to become one grand militia against another foreign militia, and not one American militia against another American militia within their own walls and boundaries. The founders of the Constitution would all be turning in their graves if only they knew where their 2nd amendment has led America. None of them ever realized just how narrow-minded and ridiculous their citizens would become in the 21st century.

With the formation of an association, which was allowed to generate revenue based around the 2nd Amendment, has spent trillions of dollars developing a scientific strategy to brainwash the American citizen into believing that it is necessary and with utmost importance to bear arms, and a Constitutional right to do so. Only because the American citizen needs to protect themselves, right?

So why aren't there any other International countries around the world allowing their associations to encourage their citizens to stockpile weapons and ammo to protect themselves? The reason is because they are not brainwashed and don't need to personally protect themselves from entire armies because they have their own countries military for that, where the everyday citizen knows they only need to protect themselves from common minor threats to their urban livestock or agriculture, since they don't have an association shoving psychologically damaging false information down their throats to make them believe that arming themselves to the Nth degree is necessary. Sure, we may need a rifle for fending off predators on the farms, or even a few different cool and fun guns if we shoot as a sport, but for the average American family to own dozens of pistols, rifles, shotguns and assault weapons is about as absurd as it gets.

What army is going to storm anyone's property on US soil to such a degree where they require that amount of weaponry to protect themselves? Brainwashed. Oh, but they say it's not only just for protection, guns are needed for fun and sport, yet, I'm just still trying to find the sport where a person requires an assault weapon that can hold 30 round mags and empty those magazines within 8 seconds of pulling the trigger.

If I had no common sense and didn't know any better, I would think there is a sport in America where the goal is to scare and terrorize as many people as possible in the amount of time allotted to accomplish the goal...whatever that goal may be.

But, when any lack of restriction is allowed to happen year after year for as long as it has, it then creates another ripple effect among the population that is nearly impossible to control, and America is in the middle of that trend right now.

You may remember most of it originating with guns and assassinations. This was quite easy to get away with during the late 20th century, where the majority of this conduct was carried out by the underground organized crime syndicates of the time, but as time went on the population began to see the strength behind the words of the association and started to personally arm themselves for their own various reasons. This would eventually only lead the American population into their own little self-secured realities of believing the necessity of possessing a weapon in the first place. And what do I mean by that you ask? Let me put it this way; I could step onto any property in America completely unarmed, and snuff the lives of every single last family member before they even knew I was there.

Guns are not your savior -- knowledge is your savior. Guns are America's Achilles Heel.

Every other country has realized this basic rationality long ago, but with the formation of an revenue-generating association, the 2nd Amendment has gone from a respected common sense pact to a fanatical movement of crazed groups that cling to the idea of everyone's individual right to bear arms where it has become so convoluted that the entire USA Republican congress cannot even imagine debating the idea or it would get messy in a hurry where the leading association along with all of it's brainwashed members would threaten congress members with their contributions and overall power over the lawmakers. Therefore, the American legislation on guns in America remains stuck in the wild west, where every other civilized country on the planet has long stepped beyond these cowardly backwater reasons for allowing the right to bear arms in the lackadaisical manner in which they do.

Since the turn of the last century and our entrance into the 21st century, the association as forced their government into allowing any individual to become their very own militia. This becomes a disturbing turn of events because any one individual is now able to arm themselves to any degree and carry out their plan with the weaponry of a small army. The problem is, that "plan" can become one that does not involve another militia, but innocent unarmed civilians that want nothing to do with guns become the targets because the battlefield is no longer the US borders and boundaries, but everyday streets, schools, supermarkets, gas stations, religious establishments, hospitals, nightclubs, outdoor concerts and any other location within those borders that surround the inner insanity of the USA.

I remember a time when I used to love guns. I spent much of my youth firing almost every different type of handgun, shotgun, rifle, AK-47, M-16, AR-15 and other assault weapons, including fun old antique weapons that were used during the time of writing the US Constitution, but 99% of all shots fired were at the gun range in the safety of a proper facility that was designed for this use. The other 1% percent was at my recreational property shooting various targets in a safe area of the property. Not once have I ever had the inclination to ever use any of these weapons on the streets of my country, but maybe with a serious lack of regulation that would allow me to do anything I wanted with these more powerful weapons, maybe if I was ever wronged by someone else I would not have thought twice about the repercussions and simply plotted my revenge against this person or persons. Thankfully, I'm not that small-minded. I have learned over the years that the security of a gun is actually an insecurity that requires serious psychological rewiring.

But now, as of the year 2022, the American public can no longer go a week without hearing of another mass shooting. This doesn't even include the confrontations, altercations, hijacks, drive-by gang shootings and others targeted as individuals. The sheer amount of shots fired from guns over a single weekend in the US is literally in the hundred of thousands of rounds, where more than half of those shots taken are fired illegally or unlawfully, yet authority figures continue to turn a blind eye. There are an average of 30-40 gun-related incidents every weekend just in the city of Detroit alone. If this were to happen in my city, the entire civilized population would stand up to parliament in a hurry, where their careers would end on the losing end with one swift vote to get them out of there and replaced with a civilized decent human being that cannot be controlled by a dollar, no matter how may of them are thrown at the member of congress, because greed is not nearly as dominant elsewhere as it is in America. Common sense and decency prevails, just as it does in most all other civilized countries around the world.

When you have an association that will allow every single last gun shop owner in America to sell any and all types of weapons that were meant to be used on the true battlefields of war, then Houston, you have a problem, and that problem will never get better with age, only worse.

This very specific problem is the furthest thing from the "land of the free and home of the brave", and is a cancer among the American population, and like with most diseases, people prefer to look away and turn a blind eye to the obvious no matter how glaring it is. It is a cultural epidemic of unnecessary terrorizing proportions. I truly feel bad for the average everyday American citizen that just wants to live their lives in peace and have the pleasure of going through life without the worries of becoming a victim to one crime or another that involves a gun. Unfortunately, the way things are currently going, it's only a matter of time before everyone is somehow, in some way, involved in a gun incident. I feel for all of Americans equally, with the exception of all those allowing this madness to perpetuate. It is the epitome of insanity for any civilized country to be so stuck in the past of their own wild wild west. It pains me to say this, but America has become a territory of terror rather than fighting against it. Even when foreign terrorists inflict their terror upon the country at the turn of the century, it was only a matter of time before the escalation of terror rose to citizen level status, where no man, woman or child is immune from it's effects.

Just ask anyone from Columbine, Sandy Hook, Robb Elementary or any other previous crime scene that was involved in a gun incident. I do not have enough fingers and toes to count them all...

I would never claim to have the answers, but I do know that if I were to use my common sense in America then I would have to side with the political party that opposes the current rules and regulations of the present gun legislation and vote for those willing to try and make the changes. It's just too bad that it wouldn't matter who I voted for because the current opposing political party will never allow enough votes for change for as long as this association exists because they are the one major player in the overall economy that wants to keep their status within the community intact.

I ask anyone, including the association itself, to prove me wrong. I'll wait...

I believe the only solution to this madness is for big brother to re-evaluate their moral compasses and enact policies and procedures to make every individual American citizen go through a multi-step process of registering their personal identification and their firearms application along with the intended reason for possession on the application for every weapon purchased in America. This will filter the American gun population into very specific groups of users which will then allow for certain select individuals the greater level of responsibility to purchase the privileged higher end weapons from any one of the numerous gun shops across America and keep them out of the hands of those driven by an overpowering impulse of negative energy enough to act on it's behavior.

Because if you want to play with guns, and have no bad intentions, then you should be thrilled to fill out a simple application form and buy the gun you want. Never, ever, should a citizen of the United States be allowed to walk into any gun store and purchase any firearm or ammunition without an appropriate application form for the purchase of the product. No initial application form for registered membership status, no sale. It's as simple as that.

I could truly care less if a person wants to own hundreds of guns if they enjoy blasting away for fun and sport, but I would care that there is an extensive record on file somewhere of every single firearm in that person's possession. And, if it was ever discovered that the usage of those firearms did not match the information relating to those guns from the application form, the law would be enforced as necessary.

Once the Government develops a filtering process of registered gun owners and their possessions, it is then they can begin to manage the filtration system and reduce the amount of unnecessary gun violence in America.

Just think of it like travel -- if you want to take a vacation to an International destination, you are going to need your passport. So why can't Big Brother issue every gun owner or purchaser of a gun in America a registered identification card that holds the necessary valuable sensitive information on it, just like a passport? Every gun purchase is another stamp. Or a bank card? Most Americans would be happy to carry around their weapon IDs in their wallets...they'd probably even be sitting around the coffee shop diner discussing their IDs and level of gun ownership status having something new and fun to talk about.

It sure beats having the lives of all those innocent victims taken prematurely by someone else's irrational actions simply because they could obtain a gun easier than they could obtain a driver's license.

And for all those Americans who oppose of this rationale, I question your character, your class, your compassion and respect as an American citizen. There must be a reason for wanting to remain in the shadows...I always believe everyone has a good heart at the core of themselves, yet sometimes life can lead us astray and do some crazy things to the intellectual surroundings of that core and ultimately corrupt the best of us. It happens. But everything starts at the top, and just like the company with the Swoosh logo says; "just do it". Your society owes it to you and your respective neighbor. Remember, you're both on the same team -- American.

It's time for the Assaulted States of America to become United once again...I have a strong belief it can happen within my lifetime, but it will take strong governing individuals to accomplish the task, instead of what is governing in office right now. These members of Congress are already far too cemented in their comfortable ways of conducting business, therefore it's best to simply educate and evolve enough to bring everyone along for the ride and get them all on the same page when it comes to the rule, regulation, law and legislation of all firearms within the borders and boundaries of the country and slowly learn how to become the land of the free and home of the brave again.

Background Checks? Ridiculous. Scrap that idea Clyde. No need to dig a hole backwards through investigation...a proper application form and registered ID would simply do the trick. Be reasonable boys and girls, why apply for a passport if you have no plans to travel?

Guns are no different. If you plan to own, you plan to shoot. If you plan to shoot, you plan a target. If you plan a target, you plan an action. If you plan an action, you plan an outcome. If you plan an outcome, you plan your intention. How difficult is it to document this on an application form?

I'm only asking for the 330 million Americans, because I believe they all deserve an answer to the question...
