Inside the Mind of the Mass Murderer

There are not too many people that can bring me out of the psychological woodwork to say anything about anyone, but this epidemic of mass shootings in the United States is something that truly needs to be addressed by all the proper authorities, and if those authorities do nothing about it, then they need to be voted out of office for negligence.

It's not rocket science. In fact, it's about as far from science as it gets. When the main association who is designated to regulate the status of all firearms is non-compliant and does not care to regulate anything other than the politicians that hold the current laws in their favor. Why do your job when you don't have to, and can easily get away with it? If most people don't perform their duties at their place of employment, they tend to get fired.

So, for as long as Big Brother continues to play favoritism via kickbacks and contributions then the American society will forever continue to spin it's wheels in the mud and need to dodge at least one mass shooting each and every day.

It's difficult for the rest of the world to believe that the USA had 68 mass shootings in the month of June alone and well over 300 in less than half a year. That is 299 more than the rest of the world combined. Not exactly a statistic that I'd be too proud of if I were a citizen. Thankfully I'm not, otherwise I would be a completely different person that I am now, and I know I would not like who I was, or ever want to get to know personally. I could easily become a loose cannon at any given time if I was ever wronged or involved in a conflict that persuaded me down some dark road towards unspeakable acts against another citizen for whatever reason.

My only saving grace is that my sanity remains intact and my psychological state of mind is sound, unlike that of the mass shooter who holds no regard for anyone, including themselves. The mass shooter has been wronged in one way or another, by another. We have all been wronged, but the difference is that those with sound mind deal with it differently, simply because we do not have easy access to the tools necessary to cause a fatal incident.

A man shoveling snow from his driveway gets upset when he discovers his neighbor put snow on his property. An argument ensues and escalates to the point where each homeowner runs into their homes to obtain their guns and end up shooting at each other until one of the two is the last one standing. A simple and trivial situation that escalates into a deadly encounter within minutes, all over some snow that won't even exist in the Spring...

Both of these individuals would claim that they are of sound mind, right up until that incident occurred and therefore end up having to live with the subsequent future, if they have one.

And we can stop blaming video games or Hollywood movies for this mentality because this is not even a talking point when every single last individual instinctively knows the difference between good and bad or right and wrong, yet go against it anyway.

When any citizen can almost go to their corner store and purchase a fatality instrument, it's a problem. Regardless of how it is regulated, the availability of gun sales is absolutely staggering to everyone else around the world because no civilization requires so many gun stores for no apparent reason other than that of the wild west free-for-all for not only assault weapons, but any and all guns in general. For what? If it's for sport or your profession then okay, but any other reason should be much more scrutinized than those of the sport or professional variety. It is these gun owners that require far more scrutinization than for those with a purpose or mission that require it as a tool of the trade. It's all bass-ackwards, but when the association has no concern over proper regulation then the entire United States of America population will continue to remain stuck in the wild west with an incredibly slow progression forward to be left behind by the rest of the world. I already see it coming...

Nobody wants to live in fear, but it is necessary to know what it means on both sides of the aisle. Some members of Congress will never understand the gravity of the matter until it happens to them and affects them personally. Otherwise, they're oblivious...in one ear and out the other. They are continually voted in because those who vote them in have also yet to become a victim or target of these acts. Once they do, you can guarantee their minds will reverse 180 degrees and change their stance on the matter. You'd think a responsible association would want to be more concerned with safety and make sure every single last gun owner is a scrutinized approved applicant before they're qualified to purchase any firearms of any nature. It's crazy to me that more than 80% of gun owners in America are not members of the association. Those are some serious numbers considering a population of 330 million.

Yet there runs a common thread among every mass shooter, and that is the sense of selfishness of allowing their own personal emotion supersede any rational actionable behavior. Lawyers may use cocaine as their weapon of choice, where mass shooters have their fantasies and delusions of grandeur to overcome their emotions and overall mood. Where do we think that eventually leads a person to become? Each weapon of choice has a predictable outcome, so pick your poison. Personally I may prefer a beer, or maybe a stiffer drink every once in a while, or even a blast of peewee, but that's about as far as I go towards the escape routes of life. I've tried it all, including guns, but I learned where to draw the line. Some folks don't know where to draw the line and step right over it because their emotion has taken over the majority of their thought patterns where it soon becomes engrained in their psyche. To think that these people are capable of purchasing a deadly weapon as long as they have the money and ID. Wow, what a sophisticated system of policy and procedure you have...said no one, ever.

Yikes.

Anyone can imagine walking in the shoes of the mass shooter. The power, the ego, control, satisfaction, revenge, retribution or thrilling gratification -- all can be an emotionally powerful drug to the mind and body. This is where one must be able to see it's effects and it's inevitable outcome before we ever allow it to happen to ourselves.

There is nothing easier and more enjoyable in life than simply sharing a laugh with someone, because even Albert Einstein knew a good punchline when he heard one. Food and laughter are two of the most common denominators around the world, why not use them to your advantage.

In the meantime and in-between time, when you see someone who has enough focus to draw a picture of a mass shooting scene and post it on their social media platform, please don't forget to pull the fire alarm. For every American citizen's sake, only because no community is currently safe under the law of the land in America. The twisted convolution of the Constitution over the years has eventually allowed the wild west to continue throughout to the modern day, whereas in every other civilized country worldwide have long enjoyed the peace and serenity of non-violence among the streets of our communities. There is just no need for that kind of crappola in anyone's lives, but the stakes are raised drastically when it's so much easier to purchase a gun than it is to purchase a slurpee at the local 7-Eleven.

Unfortunately, the number of gun shops littered across America will never seem to run out of flavors for their customers, and that amounts to a whole lotta cha-ching, as well as a whole lotta unnecessary and needless funerals.

Even worse, is that it also litters America's population with a psychological disease within a population that neither endorses nor denies it's impact on the matter until it happens to them personally. But just like any good long lasting vehicle, preventative maintenance and regular tune-ups will provide the owner with many years of reliable transportation.

I wish the same for the American society.

I'm sure one day the overall consensus will be in the favor of a complete and total reform for proper rules and regulations, but until then the average American citizen is forced to consider the potential mass murderer on a daily basis. Not exactly what I'd call land of the free and home of the brave, but then again my interpretation may be a little skewed with too much common sense...

God Bless America, only because they're going to need it.
